The Child Development Center 2 at MacDill AFB is your child's "home away from home." They offer hourly and weekly care for children as young as 6 wks of age through 5 yrs of age. Full day-care is provided for 218 children at Bldg 395 (CDC 2). Upon enrollment into their facility there is required paperwork to complete, including emergency contact information and a current immunization record. Their programs follow "Creative Curriculum," which is based on the age and stage of development for each child's interests and needs.
Their program is Accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, so you know you are getting the best care possible for your child. Their environments promote growth and development in social, emotional, cognitive, language and fine and gross motor skills. They practice family-style dining by providing USDA-approved menus to provide a nutritious meal option for children in their care. All centers are DoD-certified to ensure you are being offered quality, early childhood programming for your children, specializing in learning through play. Additionally, they participate in the Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program for eligible children, 4 & 5 years of age. Their programs have multiple inspection agencies that uphold us to the highest level of care and ensure it is maintained. All centers are NAEYC-accredited, offering quality, early childhood programming for your children. Enrollment is available on a priority basis.
