Mountain Home Air Force Base: Located in Elmore County, about 12 miles southwest of the city of Mountain Home, this base is home to the 366th Fighter Wing, which is known as the “Gunfighters.” They operate a variety of aircraft, including F-15E Strike Eagles, in combat and support roles.
