Aberdeen Proving Ground

Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG): Located near Aberdeen, this base is the U.S. Army’s oldest active proving ground, established in 1917. It houses several major commands, including the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command and the U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command.
