Wright-Patterson Air Force Base: Located near Dayton, this base is one of the U.S. Air Force’s largest and most important installations. It’s home to the Air Force Materiel Command, one of the major commands of the Air Force. Wright-Patterson AFB also hosts the Air Force Research Laboratory, the National Air and Space Intelligence Center, and the Air Force Institute of Technology. It’s often associated with Project Blue Book, the Air Force’s study of UFOs from 1951 to 1969.
