Ellsworth Air Force Base: Located near Rapid City, Ellsworth AFB is home to the 28th Bomb Wing, which operates the B-1B Lancer bomber. The 28th Bomb Wing is one of only two B-1B Lancer strategic bomber wings in the United States Air Force. The base also plays a role in the training of bomber crews and support personnel.
